I'm kind of into the skewered food this summer for some reason and I'm not even sure why because I find it rather tedious to thread food onto a stick. I suppose you could grill the chicken in whole pieces instead of cutting it small and skewering it, but the smaller pieces pick up way more flavor from the marinade.
At any rate, this is a recipe you simply must try because the flavors will blow you away. It is rather spicy, but also sweet ... perfect Asian combination with no soy sauce in sight. The ingredients you might not recognize can be found on the ethnic foods aisle of your grocery store or at an Asian market. If you don't already have them, go ahead and buy them because you'll definitely want to make this recipe several times. (I won't disclose how many times I've made it ...)
(Suggestion: These go really well with the Zucchini Fritters I posted last week.)
